Self esteem is central to who we are and central to the process of counselling.
Most self esteem problems start with an early experience
of either not feeling `good enough` or being told that you were useless/worthless and will never amount to anything.
This then becomes an ingrained belief you have about yourself. Consequently, you lack confidence, limit your abilities and may be constantly comparing yourself to others. Through exploration and an objective view of your personal history, you can allow yourself to see your present situation more clearly.
